  1. Which boxing gloves are the best?

    Therefore, it is impossible to say specifically which boxing gloves are better.
    We prefer to ask the customer.

    • Do you need boxing gloves for sparring or for working on punching bags?
    • Or do you need boxing gloves for training in a fitness gym?

  2. How to choose the size of boxing gloves?

    We prefer to ask the customer.

    • Boxing gloves do not have sizes. Boxing gloves should be selected based on their weight indicated in ounces (oz).
      The weight of a boxing gloves ranges from 4oz to 20oz.
      To choose the correct weight in ounces (oz), you need to know the exact weight of the fighter.

      The weight is determined by the amount of foam padding that is inside the glove.
      More padding means a heavier glove. And that means more protection for your hands and your opponent's hands.
    • Each boxing brand uses its own individual shapes, construction of gloves. Gloves fit differently. Therefore, you need to
      try on several different models and brands of gloves to understand and choose the right ones.
    • Some gloves can be tight inside. Usually new boxing gloves if give a feeling of tightness inside. After some time of use,
      the foam padding inside takes the shape of your hand. And your hands will be much more comfortable.
    • But you should consider that your hands should be comfortable inside. Perhaps you have chosen the wrong model.

  3. So which weight do I need?
    Here are rules of thumb.

    • Boxing gloves for sparring (fighting with a training partner):
      - 14oz, 16oz, 18oz are recommended depending on you size and weight.
    • Boxing gloves for training on a heavy bag or workout:
      - 10oz, 12oz or 14oz should be fine.
    • Amateur Fighters use 10oz or 12oz.
    • Pro fighters use 8oz or 10oz.
    • Children 4-9 years old, should use 4oz to 12oz.
    • But there are always exceptions. You can ask us if you need advice. Or ask your trainer.

  4. Which boxing gloves material is more durable?

    Boxing gloves made of synthetic leather or microfiber.
    There are some manufacturers that use very durable synthetic leather or microfiber. Some of them even have their own patent
    and development of the material. For example, Fairtex has several models of gloves made of synthetic leather or microfiber.
    Their gloves are of very good quality.
    There are manufacturers that offer gloves made of synthetic materials of very poor quality.
